LMAO the real thing is this hockey fanfic that i'm like obsessed with, which is kind of embarrassing to bring up in this context but not embarrassing enough that i won't rec it at any given opportunity. i definitely think it's really good!!! it's about horny time travel but it's also mostly about ~Love~ and, like, trying to overcome misunderstandings and insecurities because you love someone. warning for societal homophobia mentions (or like, more accurately coming to terms w/ being gay) for your sake lmfao, but it's really not a huge plot point and only gets brought up in a couple conversations as like A Thing That Happened And Has Been Mostly Resolved. i think you might still like it though...

ANYWAY LOL i do need to read some actual literature again soon. and ofc you know me, i love trashy garbage, so i'm not judging. i guess i wish there was more trashy garbage that's to my taste, mainly because i'm not into historical/fantasy settings and i'm not really into military settings either. maybe there are, but those recs are not really reaching me. i think i might still like gt9 because everyone's been saying it basically reads like fanfic so it'll be good for my tiny brain to understand. if i can ever get the momentum to just START it, that is.
