NARRATIVESHIPPING IS A HUGE ONE!!! i didn't see this post when i made the tweet about having ur development reflected in each other and finding some common ground in that is more romantic than being in love about ushisaku (which is perfect) but this is it exactly... a few months ago i think i exhausted this tactic with oikawa x pretty much every character in haikyuu (semi for the Talented setter who has a strong desire to stand out whose playing style Isn't Exactly What the Straight Forward Power Shiratorizawa Needs which i love thinking about like in terms of stz!oikawa, atsumu for the [DATA EXPUNGED BC IT'LL BE LONG BUT YOU GET IT], and my personal favourite... kita for the fact that kita's overarching monsters' banquet philosophy is basically just the logical progression of oikawa You Don't Know When You Stop Evolving, that he eventually settles into after argentina... which i also think is such a unique take on that. like yeah it's narrative parallel shipping but also oikawa had to really grow into that after 900 trials and tribulations and kita just like knew that since middle school bc he's omniscient. but ive always thought oikawa would admire kita SO much for the way he isnt the most flashy person on the court but is the central anchor to his team, and this would just be adding to that. but also oikita is definitely also 2pickshipping for me) BUT BASICALLY YES IT'S SO GOOD
i will spare you my atsukagehina vision (which is different from the dominant atsukagehina vision bc im just making sure i dont fit in and also everyone else is wrong about it) re: 2 people who are closer to the same person and replacement goldfish bc im not sure if u even want to hear it, but its good. and it applies. i agree so much
sorry for how long this ended up being and for mostly thinking about things exclusively in terms of volleyball.
