i do agree that akai being an american fbi agent whose loyalty is personal rather than idealistic and furuya being a strongly devoted japanese psb agent who believes in ideals is a point (one of many between them lol) of ideological tension that will cause problems if they enter a relationship especially bc it'll have to be long-distance but i like the optimism in shiina-san's vision. and i also think that it will work out because love is real and true!!* 🥴🥴🥴 Um.......help girl if you know how i feel about ideological tensions and SPECIFICALLY personal loyalties inner circle 1 vs idealistic principles oriented 0 ummmmmmmm................

thoughts: i don't know how to say this respectfully but i do mean it with utmost respect: this story reminds me a lot of my own stylistic fic choices but executed in a way that is so beautiful... in that ostensibly nothing is happening (it literally is just a chance encounter and a conversation interspersed with some flashbacks) but it's all about the multiple conversations being conducted at the same time through ambiguous dialogue with a light(er) surface layer and a kind of extremely anguished deeper layer ok im kind of shaking rn at how this descrip and the scans just unlocked like deep seated memories of a fujiryo doujin i used to read obsessively where like they literally just go for a drive and have casual small talk conversations but the whole thing feels so intense webnmewbnwem att i was like why is this so crazy nothing even happens but now im like What Were The Dots i was meant to be connecting....i mean that one was shippy cuz im pretty sure they do fuck in the car but like besides that
