reading this gave me Feelings for an anime i watched nearly 20 years ago and thought i'd forgotten most of... but somehow a good number of those specific moments flashed into my brain as i scrolled down.

i just looked up a clip of natarle's death scene and was reminded that murrue must have thought that natarle was the one who gave the command to fire at the archangel which just adds another layer of Pain to that dynamic... they really were so good. :')
