good post, op. i didn't think we had the same visual taste but i actually agree with your top 3 (although i'm the char forehead hater in question, i think quattro > 0079 char > cca char, but he still looks nice at some parts i guess) and roughly with your top 5, where athrun is the exception because he didn't visually snipe me like he did with you.
re: riddhe, maybe more hair would help but to me the most offputting thing about him visually is that he has like super huge shiny blue eyes that look suuuuper out of place on his face, like sometimes it feels like they were cut and pasted onto him off of a different character. i think it could have worked because he's obviously not supposed to start out as the typical dark past somewhat weary char clone, so they clearly wanted to give him the same big idealistic eyes as banaagy but then like... yeah banaagy has more hair to offset the eyes, plus brown is a much more grounding color i guess.
re: mcgillis, pleeeeaseeee i'm hoping cv sakurai can hard carry his ranking a few spots up once you get accustomed to ibo visuals
hmmm maybe i should do a garma clone visual ranking, though i think garma clones are less distinct and i don't know if i agree fundamentally that every purple haired bitch in gundam is a garma clone 🤔
