Junhui tucks the basket under his arm. 

 

“Wait,” Yanan says, standing up. “I’ll go with you.”

 

The basket slips a little in Junhui’s grip. He knocks his knee up against the base of the basket, pushing it back into the circle of his arm. “But the whole point of me taking your laundry is so you don’t have to go?”

 

Yanan smiles, a tiny upturn of the corners of his lips, which Junhui only really notices because he’s looking. “Might as well keep you company,” he says. “What else would I be doing?”

 

“I don’t know,” Junhui says. “Sleep early? Work on lyrics? Sit there being pretty?”
