i love scents and smells

rhodochrositequick review of all the perfumes i've used before by guy who doesn't know how to describe smells. basically i love sweet candy fruity(not citrus) girly type smells and i hate everything else. and i love anything that reminds me of artificial colourings and flavourings.
flower in the air - kenzo

my thoughts: this has been my favourite perfume scent since i was like 13 i'm so so sad it's discontinued now bc i don't like the rest of the kenzo flower line. i don't think it smells floral at all, it smells like apples to me but like not real apples. like you know how raspberry flavoured lollies are less berry flavoured and more dark pink flavoured? that's what flower in the air smells like but for apples. but also a little bit raspberries. it's sweet but in a fresh and cold way which i really love. the scent is not very strong on me / doesn't last a long time tho. but i just bought the eau de parfum off ebay so maybe that will be stronger than the eau de toilette i was using before... can't wait to return to my signature scent when it arrives<3

my thoughts: 1800 I LOVE CANDY SCENTS i don't really think this actually smells much like how white rabbit candy tastes but it smells fucking deliciousssss, very strong vanilla + caramel. REALLY sweet in a warm way so i don't think it suits me that much but i enjoy smelling like desserts. scent is quite strong and lasts for a reasonably long time. i bought this in shanghai in 2019 and i think it's limited edition so i probably won't be able to repurchase 😢 my parents hate this one because it's so sweet lol.

my thoughts: got a couple of testers for this when i bought a different perfume and i loveeee this one i think i will buy it for my daily use perfume next time. it smells very sweet which is my main criteria for enjoyment. basically a more intense and expensive hello kitty strawberry and cream body spray (this is the highest compliment i can give a perfume). i don't think it smells much like strawberries like again it smells like strawberry flavoured lollies which are pink flavour not strawberry. like this smells light pink. it's less cold than flower in the air though, more sugary. not a very complex scent but sometimes less is more.

my thoughts: got this as a gift and it's like.... it's weird. i don't know how to describe it, i'm not sure what the scent reminds me of. i also don't think this is very floral. kind of smells like expensive soap or like old fashioned bubble bath. a little bit citrusy too maybe? it's not terrible, i use this one at work because it feels more professional and less divisively sweet than my white rabbit perfume but i don't like it much.

my thoughts: got this as a gift when i was like 16 or something which was like... the what? i think this perfume is too mature for me even now. it's not sweet and the sandalwood + musk notes are very very heavy. kind of spicy feeling and really warm. i wouldn't mind smelling it on other people but i think it's just way too old for me.

my thoughts: i literally hate this perfume so much just remembering the smell instantly gives me a headache. the watermelon is so overpowering and offputting and sour and i hateeee the way it dries down into extremely sickly cheap air freshener floral. it's also so heavy and extremely strong like just one spray fully assaults me and will last the whole day. wish i wasn't so susceptible to marketing and being sold things by sales representatives i'm still not sure why i bought a watermelon perfume when i hate watermelon.

my thoughts: my white whale... my holy grail... this has been the ultimate scent To Me ever since my friend used it in like year 7. i've never used it myself even tho it's like $3 at any random pharmacy because 1) am i really qualified to use the god of all scents myself? 2) slightly scared it isn't as epic and amazing and perfect as i remember which would cause instant and debilitating societal destabilisation. but maybe one day...
